The weather was perfect for the annual Westside Pizza Picnic. Everyone enjoyed the games followed by pizza and ice cream. This was a great start to summer.

Westside celebrated 1500 Westie Bears with teddy bear cookies and a children's choir. The bears bring comfort to young and old during stressful times. The Teddy Ladies have been knitting, stuffing and sewing bears for three years. They provide bears to many community agencies i.e. Cambridge Fire Dept, Food Bank, CMH, Salvation Army, Dawn Centre, Lissard House, Child Witness Centre, Women's Crisis Centre-Haven House, Friendly Visiting Program, Alzheimers Society, nursing homes and friends of Westside. No matter where they go, Westie Bears bring smiles and comfort.

Despite the rain, the Westside BBQ was a great success. Thank you to the Hospitality Committee and the brave, wet grill masters.

Many thanks to Pastor Brian for cooking a delicious Korean BBQ at the church. The Westside Grows Committee organized the fundraising event with proceeds going toward recent renovations.

The Spring Fling was another great success. Thank you to everyone who contributed with crafts, baking and volunteering their time. A special thank you to Janet McKenna and Sandy Grimwood, the organizers of the event.
